Terms of Use
The rules for using our website, our demo assistant, and the WhatsApp assistants we build for businesses.
Last updated:
In short
- These terms cover our website, our demo assistant, and chatting on WhatsApp with a business that uses an assistant we built.
- The business you chat with is responsible for what it sells, its prices, its bookings and its promises to you.
- AI answers can be wrong. Confirm anything important with a person, and never use an assistant for an emergency.
- Please do not misuse the website or the assistants. We can block anyone who breaks the rules.
- Lebanese law applies, and disputes go to the courts of Beirut, unless the law of your country gives you rights that cannot be taken away.
This is a summary. The full terms below are what apply.

What these terms cover
These terms apply when you:
- visit our website, baladilabs.com (and baladilabs.ai);
- try our demo assistant on WhatsApp;
- chat on WhatsApp with a business that uses an assistant built by Baladi Labs.
Businesses that buy our services also sign a Service Agreement and a Data Agreement. For them, those agreements win if they disagree with these terms.
By using our website or our assistants, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use them.
Our website
You can read, share and link to our website. Please do not copy large parts of it, try to break into it, overload it, or use automated tools to collect data from it.
The demo assistant
Our demo is a pretend café with an invented menu and prices. It shows how our assistant works. Nothing you “book” or “order” in the demo is real.
Please do not send personal or sensitive information to the demo. Demo chats are handled as described in our Privacy Policy and deleted after 90 days.
Chatting with a business that uses our assistant
Some businesses use an assistant built and run by Baladi Labs to answer their WhatsApp. The assistant tells you it is automated, and you can always ask to talk to a person.
The business is responsible for what it sells, its prices, its bookings and its promises to you. If you have a question about a booking, an order or a complaint, contact the business.
The business decides how your messages are used. Baladi Labs handles them only on the business’s behalf (see our Privacy Policy: “If you chat with a business that uses our assistant”).
Rules for everyone
When you use our website or our assistants, please do not:
- break the law, or help anyone else to;
- send spam, threats, harassment, hate, or sexual content;
- try to trick the assistant into revealing its instructions or other people’s data, or into behaving badly;
- try to access systems or data you are not allowed to;
- pretend to be someone else;
- use the assistants to send messages to people who have not asked for them.
We can block anyone who breaks these rules.
AI answers can be wrong
Our assistants use artificial intelligence. They are built to answer only from the information the business gives them, and to pass you to a person when unsure. But AI can still misunderstand or make mistakes.
For anything important (allergies, prices, opening times on a holiday, a large booking), please confirm with a person. Never use an assistant for an emergency.
Our content and brand
The website, its text, designs and the Baladi Labs name and logo belong to us or to the people who licensed them to us. Do not use our name or logo in a way that suggests we work with you or endorse you, unless we agree in writing.
Other websites and services
Our website may link to other sites, and our assistants run on WhatsApp, which is a Meta service with its own terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for other companies’ sites or services.
No guarantees
We work hard to keep our website and demo accurate and available, but we provide them “as they are”. We do not promise they will always be available, error-free, or suitable for your purpose.
Our liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss caused by using our website or the demo, or by relying on an answer from an assistant. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Businesses that pay us are covered by the liability rules in their Service Agreement instead.
Age
Our website and demo are meant for adults and businesses. They are not designed for children. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian before using them.
Changes
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top. If a change is important, we will show a notice on the website.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Lebanon, and disputes go to the courts of Beirut, unless the law of your country gives you rights that cannot be taken away.
